Spinning St Croix Legend Elite

Featured Replies

Just ordered a SC victory ML spinning rod, hope it's super good cause I've never been a sc fan.  Can't help you with med but most say med ef has a soft tip and med fast is true to it's rating.

I have the previous gen LE 6'8" MXF.  I've used it as my Senko rod for years and love it.  I don't consider the tip soft, as someone suggested.  Bottom line, if it broke today, I would definitely buy a new one.

I have the elite 6'10" MXF and 7'0" MF models of the current elites.  I love the 6'10" sweet rod with a nice tip and lots of power to it great for shaky head, light Texas rigs, and what I think it does best is as a 5" wacky senko especially skipping it.  I also take it with me for my 1 or 2 trips a year to the Georgia coast and have caught lots of reds, flounder, specks with it bottom bouncing plastics.  The 7 MF has kind of a soft/mushy tip to it not as good for bottom contact or setting hooks through Texas rig baits to me.  I find it works best as my rod to throw my 2.8/3.3 kietechs, small cranks like shad raps and 1/4 oz red eye shads, and jerkbaits.

I have the avid mlf so it sounds like the mxf is a solid choice. Thanks for the info
