Retro Bass Fishing

one of my favorite old combos. I have several older combos, and many new top of the line. I enjoy both, old school top shelf gear, and new/modern top shelf gear.

  • Does a 1960 Rich Line with 1974 Merc count as "retro"? Granted, lots of upgrades...     And have since upgraded to a newer boat.    But I'm still fishing my 1990's Cabel

sense I made the last post, I found 2 like new Shimano Bantam Boron rods! They are like the rod above, but better, with slightly different colors on the black and the rubber pistol grip. . These rods are old, but man they feel great and are very sensitive for a rod of this age.

My friend Nick found a 1950 Left Hand Shakespeare Criterion to match a Payne bamboo casting rod.

He's been wanting a split-cane casting rod to tinker and fish for awhile, but the left hand reel find to match for him was kind of spectacular.
