Pretty sure that the met dc isn't brass main gear with a 6.1oz weight and being dc, it's hard to see where weight would be eliminated if not the gear.  I'd be surprised if it was.

You are probably right, and the pictures shows it's got aluminum gear, though I never had any experience with the 15 Metanium aluminum gear, this new one should be better, and it should be the same as the one installed in the non DC Metanium shallow edition. Meaning if the USDM version is identical to the JDM version, then JDM I'm buying from Digitaka.😄

 

One thing got me thinking though, it looks like JDM version does not include Ci4+ but the USDM does (according to JP DeRose), it's no big deal as long as the handle side plate stays magnesium, if both side plates are Ci4+on USDM version then I'm definitely not getting the US version.
