Bass fishing can sometimes become very complicated, but it's not all required to catch a bass. These are four simple things that anyone can do and will make fishing more enjoyable.

Last year, I took seven rods. This year, I take two most of the time and three at the most. I enjoy having to carry and manage fewer rods and I'm actually catching more bass with less outfits. Hear, hear for simplifying!

I have to try something, I haven't caught a half decent black bass in over a month and not for lack of trying. I need to be night fishing, this is usually the time of year I start doing that. My main night fishing spot is under about 3 feet of extra water and is closed to the public, though, so it will be at least a few more weeks before I can get to it. I'm so sick of this I could scream
