I actually believe this is less visible in water than "clear" line. True florocarbon aside, clear mono is almost white in water. I even have trouble seeing green line in the water. But not so with braid, since braid is opaqe (sp?) or solid, while mono is translucent. Sorta like how red line is less visible, but red hooks are visible. What are your opinions on this? What colors do you think are truly less visible?

here in FL, i use trilene big game or trilene XT in the dark green color with very good results. i too noticed exactly what you are talking about with the "clear" lines and how it almost glows in the water, thus i switched to the dark green and i like it a lot. i can hardly tell it's pulling my lures along, so hopefully the bass can't either

Personally I use all low vis green or dark green no matter what kind of water I am fishing. I do not use braid or fluorocarbon as I have tried both and just did not like either, especially on spinning gear but, its all in what you like. I am going to try some #6 Yozuri Soft this spring. Nothing wrong with experimenting.

In clear water I only use clear line but in dingy water I'll sometimes use colored line.

At different times of the year the water on Toledo Bend is different colors even though it's clear. To adjust for my aging eye sight I'll change the color of my line; I use Berkley Big Game in amber, green, or dark blue.

I'm with Catt on this one, my biggest (only) concern is that I am able to see the line.

Bass eat pebbles, cigarette butts and bottlecaps, it's not likely they'd turn down a meal because of a piece of thread.

Thin line versus thick line, now that's a whole other ballgame.

I use flourocarbon on most things  ... Transition if I need to see it .... green on top water lures.
