Anyone give a weight guess? (PB from my home lake)

Featured Replies

Hey, all. After 10 years of only fly rodding for the bass in my lake here in PA, I pulled out the old bass tackle due to rotator cuff area tendinitis. I didn't measure, but estimating by measuring the rod later at home puts it around 21-23", I am not too good at estimating. (?) The rod/reel is a beefy 1990-era heavy Abu Garcia and the Rapala is the F11 @ 4-3/8". I have since bought some new casting rods and reels to update my old Ambassadeur 4600's and Fenwick Lunkerstiks. (I'll post thoughts about them in another post). What do you think it weighed?

High three to mid 4lb.

I guessed before I read Dwight's guess and my guess was 3.5 to 4.0 pounds. I catch a lot of bass in that range, so I know the look.
