Matzuo Lures

Featured Replies

Does anyone own any of these lures? Wal Mart and Dicks Sporting Goods carries them, but Cabela's and BPS doesn't.

I own a couple that I purchased the beginning of last fishing season. I have a couple shallow cranks and a couple topwaters.

They seem like they're made from thin plastic and all the colors are holographic.

Plus, the hooks are thin and probably cheap.

Walmart carries there brand of hooks too for really cheap.

IMO you get what you pay for in this instance. Probably best if you spend your money on something else.

I used to use Matzuo Spinners and I thought they were great.  They got the hits, but I've lost more fish than I can count on them.  My hook up ratio has been much better with Strike King Spinners as far as landing the fish.  I've never seen their lures though, I didn't even know they made lures.  I've seen a lot of other ones at my local stores like Yo-Zuri, Rebel, Storm, Rapala, Strike King, Bandit, Norman, etc; but never Matzuo.

I got a couple of these for Christmas last year from my brother who also bought some for himself.  Neither one of us have caught anything on them.  I would think Rapala, Norman or Bomber would offer a better lure at a good price.

IMO, complete and total crap.

My exact opinion as well!

bought 3 topwater sammy imitations. Absolute garbage. all of them rolled onto their side and would never walk right. To bad because they look pretty good inside the box.
