Hey guys got a question for you.  I have a Daiwa Procaster and it has seen better days.  I have had it for about 4 years and it is in need of a facelift.  Everything works on it but it has ridden in the back of truck dropped in the water, left out in the weather, ya know the regular stuff.  I have taken it apart and cleaned it and re greased it but with little improvement.  Does anyone know if I can send it back to the company to get it cleaned?  If so, how much do you think it would cost?  Should I just throw it away?  Let me know what you think.

If you want to see that thing absolutely HUM, contact Reel Mechanic on this board and send it off to him for a going over.  Spending a few bucks on a cleaning and maybe replacing a few parts is a whole lot cheaper than buying new.

One of my best friends has an original Procaster from the late 70's or early 80's... he still fishes it regularly and it still works like a champ.  

Send your's to ReelMech and let him clean and lube it, I bet it feels new again after that.  His prices & work are great and service is fast.
