Not sure if you watch any fishing channels on YouTube but DEBO's fishing is a popular channel, he's a Hawkeye in Iowa, and just dumped like 5 combos into the lake when he flipped his kayak recently lol

Interesting, I mean it's possible.

I've watched some of his videos and I'm pretty sure he doesn't live too far from me based on where he fishes. I recognize many of them.

I'll have to send him a message.

If you have or have access to one of those old metal stringers, Open all the clips and put it on a flippin, stick and drag it around the suspected area. My buddy carries one in his boat for just such an occasion.

Holy crap that is a great idea.  I always have one of those on me and I have never throught about that during many failed recovery efforts.  Thanks!!

Why wait if you have sons to do your diving for you?

I went out with my youngest who is 14 almost 15.

He went into the water but couldn't see much. I then tried throwing the hooks out but it just collected a ton of weeds.

There's just too many weeds right now. There's also the chance of him getting tangled in them which could create some danger. It happens!

If it was actually one of my poles I would have spent more time trying to find it.

When the weeds thin/die out I'll give it another try.
