I've been offered a chance to take a warranty upgrade for an Avid 7'-6" mlxf. 

So I need advice on an all purpose StC rod over 7' that is a great finesse river rod. This will be used for 1/16 oz hair jigs to 5/16 oz squarebills and 4" senkos. Alot to ask but what better place to ask it?

What series are you looking at moving into? I’d highly recommend the legend elite/x. They do make a 7’3” MLXF in the legend extreme, but I’m not a huge fan of the extremes. Are you wanting to stay at 7’6”?

The older MLs 1/8-1/2oz have a different action compared to the newer ones.  The tips are softer and overall, they are lighter in power.  IMO you have to go to the Legend Elite to get that same action in the blank as the older Avids.  The inshore blanks are actually a good alternative.  They stayed with the older power rating.  The introduction of the sc3+ material changes the action slightly, but its still very close to older ML actions which I absolutely love. 

Ive been a SC fan since I was 10YO and swore by them for years.  In the past few years Im not liking some of the directions they're going in as far as changes to the rods, warranties and overall customer service.  I used to buy 2 or 3 a year, but I think in the past 5 years I've only bought 2, being pleased with one and hating the other. 

Their MLs were my favorite blanks and since they changed them and many others SC is not my first or second choice anymore.   

I'm looking for a ML that's longer than 7'  but not more than 7'-6". 

I'd prefer a 2pc but that's not a deal breaker.

I'm replacing an Avid Walleye that my local tackle guy sold me at a nice discount, it broke this summer but StC has a phenomenal warranty. If they didnt I would probably buy something else. 

The Avid Walleye is the same Siii+ blank as the Victory line. I've heard giod things about the Victory 7'-3" mlxf spinning rod but I havent handled the comparable elites,tournaments and extremes.

Remember I'm just a river fisherman and my equipment gets beat up.

How about the Panfish 7'3" MLXF?

It has the SCII and SCVI blend for resin.

 

I have one, and it's actually a very good rod...and more budget friendly than the Victory.

When I upgraded my broken mojo the best deal was on the next line up so assuming that's still about the same situation and those were the specs I wanted I'd be looking at the LBTS73MLXF. They also have this chart which suggests this one specifically for hair jigs:
