Just wondering if anyone uses Pinnacle reels or have used Pinnacle reels and what do you think of them.  Looking for some new reels and they look decent and are reasonably priced.  By the way I was looking at the Inertia, Solene, and the Sentara.

Thanks, Joseph

WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry I can't help you on those reels.

I would reccomend them to anyone.  The only one i am wary of is the solene.  I bought one of them and it didn't feel or sound right.  I took it back and all of them seemed to have a problem.  I have four pinnacles and absolutely love them. I have 3 vision metals and 1 janis metal.

They are good reels for the$$

I have several  BC & spinning reels and like them very much.

I really like their rods.

Unlike another post, I did just pick up a new solene BC and do not have any problems with it. I am going to buy another solene soon.

Just remember one thing. keep the boxes they come in, if they need cleaned any reel shop can do that, but if they need fixed, you will have to send them back to pinnacle. Pinnacle doesn't send out parts. So keep the boxes, makes it easy to ship back if need be.

I own some of the Pinnacle Matrix reels, the first ones they put out with 10 bearings......they are solid reels and silky smooth. I also have a Deadbolt Pro DBP10 low profile that is a very good reel. I dont have any problem with Pinnacle reels.

I have two Deadbolt 35 spinning reels and think they are great. They have very smooth drag as stated above.

Oh, by the way, WELCOME.

I have the model PLS100 (8 bearings) and I am WELL pleased with it...very smooth. I bought it with the rod on sale at Academy. I think you will enjoy your Pinnacle. Good luck.

i purchased a pinnacle lucille last year & have used it a good bit...its o.k but for some reason it feel "cheap" compared to my shimano symetre...it performs good & it isnt cheaply made, but it doesnt have that SOLID  feel that i expected when i ordered it.

im not knocking it in any way because i do like it...i just dont know if id buy another one or not

I used to run Deadbolts. I have 6 of them. They were great foir 2 full seasons and in the third, I had the gears crumbling on several of them. They were all $hitcanned in favor of Stradics. I wouldn't touch anything from that company again. Ever!
