Well I’ve been thinking about this particular model, the 6’9” Heavy model. Wondering if any of you guys have it. Also what are your opinions on the handle? It’s definitely different..

The 6’9” appeals to me in heavy, other brands fitting the length and action are welcome.

I just ordered this rod Saturday. Assuming it will arrive this week. I'll let you know first impressions after I get it. I'm planning to use it as an all around rod. I prefer to fish shallow and like sub 7' rods. I think if you were looking to use it for a specific technique, single hook moving baits would be the ticket

Sweet, yea I’m gonna be interested in the tip as well, I’m not looking for a sissy stick here. Appreciate it.

I have the Super Destroyer and it's a really versatile rod. I would say it's good at a lot of things but not exceptional at any one bait. For instance,  I have thrown jigs and crakbaits on it and both worked fine. I have used baits from 3/8oz (senko) to 1.25oz (Magdraft) and both were OK to cast.

I will say the handle gets slick but it's not a deal breaker. You just need to get use to it.

I’ve recently been eyeing the USDM FMJ. 7’3” is my all time favorite length rod for texas rigging.

Current using an NRX+873CRR so not sure if I gain anything more on the performance end aside from a cleaner looking build with some bling.

And who doesn't like bling?

Just got my SD in the mail. Have only been able to cast it in the pool but I like it so far. It's beautiful. Definitely feels like it's got a bunch of power. I'd say taper is pretty similar to a MBR or any Shimano mod-fast. Maybe just a hair slower but not a huge difference either way. I was casting a true 1oz lure and it felt like it was about the top end of what would be comfortable on it
