Have a look at these lures:

Top: Megabass Pop-X $21.99

Bottom: River2Sea Bubble Pop65 $8.99

What a price difference! I must admit that the Megabass bait has a superior finish but they are almost identical.

I assume that River2Sea copied the Megabass Pop-X ? Have you guys noticed this with other brands?

I fish a lot more soft plastics than hard baits, and you know how many knock-offs there are of popular soft baits.

Those guys did a heck of a close knock-off! IMHO I don't know if a bass could tell the difference. I guess you've fished both or soon will, let us know if there is much fish catching difference between them. Both great looking baits...

River2Sea has many copies of other Japanese brands.  They copy a lot of Jackall products.  They had a lot of cool baits at the ICAST show this year.

I have seen some of the new Mann's lures that seem to be a knock off of the Lucky Craft Crankbaits.  They are a poor attempt to say the least.

The Spro Aruku Shad and Ever Green Buzzer Beater are identical on the outside (the Spro is nose weighted, however - - something I prefer)

BPS has a crankbait that looks like an exact splash of an Ever Green Combat Flat, as well.

You're right about the Evergreen Buzzer Beater and the Spro Arukku Shad. I haven't noticed that before. The Spro (24gr.) is heavier then the Evergreen (18gr.) though. Got any pics of the BPS crank?

Ever Green

I don't own one of the BPS cranks, so a direct photo isn't possible - - but it is quite easy to see when you look at them up close (especially the width of the rear of the bait....which is wider than the front (can't see that in the pics).

They sure look very similar! Do you know anybody that uses the BPS cranks? I assume BPS hardbaits are made in China?

Don't know anybody that uses those - - but if they are a dead-on copy of the Ever Green, I'm sure they work well (I really like the Combat Flat......has a little more kick than the typical flatside.....really good in cover, too.).

I do use the XPS Rattlin' Shads - - very well designed lipless cranks!

ive got a bps lazer eye extreme static shad crank and a shallow running crank. i like em both. very well made and they run good too. the static shad looks alot like a shad rap. but it runs like a jerk bait...not good swiming action, but very good jerking action.
