Everyone saying 6th Sense Crush - where are you finding them with anything but a faint rattle? I want a loud one but can’t find it.

I actually like the crush 100...bit bigger profile so you get a little more drawing power that way...plus it's 5/8oz which I usually end up getting a significant amount of more casting distance with vs the 3/8oz model.

I know that square bills are currently popular, but another option is something like a Bomber Model A. They offer different models for different depth ranges and are not only affordable, but they are

  • Check out the OG Rocco. It's a balsa squarebill designed for Rapala by Ott Defoe. It's replaced all my squarebills now.

  • I’ve had enough success with the DT line from Rapala that they’re all I’ll throw for cranks. In this case it would be a DT-4. May not be the “best” crankbaits but they’ve been serious fish catchers fo

^ others don't

the faint rattle is the one I've been using and it's worked well for me (even when the water isn't as clear)

Everyone talking about LC but they’re almost all silent

Essentially all crankbaits have rattles...Trebles banging the lure, split ring against bill, etc.....Plus some silent cranks put out more vibrations even if silent based on shape etc....I have had days where silent works much better than anything with a rattle and vise versa....Kind of like when a one knocker spook or lipless crank will get bit more than a standard rattling crankbait.

I also think alot of rattle vs. non rattle is a confidence thing.

I pay more attention with shallow cranks to shape....Flat side vs. wide, balsa vs. plastic, fast rising vs. slow etc than sound....But that is just me.    Good Luck in April!
