Shout Out to Daiwa

Featured Replies

All I can say is customer service like this has turned me from an "any reel will do, I'm not brand loyal" to "team Daiwa."

I won't likely be needing another reel anytime soon (at least until the bait monkey gets loose and gives me rabies), but my past 3 have been Daiwa and my next one will be Daiwa.

What did they do that got you on board the Daiwa fan cllub?

Been using them a long time. I wish they still made there Team Daiwa Finesse rod. Couldn’t afford it back in the day but can now . They always seem to be a solid company

Greetings All,
While I don't have personal experience with Daiwa customer service. I can add my $ 0.02 worth that I've not had the need to invoke them. I have a significant number of their products. I've used  them for the last 4 decades to great satisfaction. Most if not all of them are considered to be 'high' mileage and have plenty of fair wear and tear. I've got to say they have aged well. I greatly appreciate the build quality across the various product lines. I don't have any of the high end product line offerings. The ones I have are all at the lower, budget, entry level, right up to the lower mid range offerings. These are essentially your big box retail offerings. Each of them has demonstrated good value with great performance. They are on the heavier side which is a consideration to those shopping.

I hope this helps. Be well, Cheers!

Care to elaborate on this for clarity?

Calling them for parts is extremely easy and quick I will say.

I've called them several times to get new parts.  Their customer service is very professional and courteous.

Basically there was an issue with a small part in my spool assembly, rather than having to deal with shipping and blabbidyblah I asked if they could just send the part that I needed and they did. Dude on the phone was very helpful and we could communicate clearly and move everything along very quickly.

And while we're here, on a separate but similar note, ALF has great customer service too. It's been a while, but they were very understanding and easy to work with. Repeat issue on a replacement SLX a while back and they made everything right.

Also Kistler, killer customer service there as well. Responsive and definitely have a customer first attitude.

Would you mind sharing how you reached them as I’ve tried reaching out and cannot contact an actual person. I would really appreciate that.

Got a human right away, good luck

What he said, their California office is amazing. Their rep answered within a minute or two when i called last year and was very helpful. I didnt even own the reel i was asking about, but my conversation with them sealed the deal.
