Bought two new nasci 4000s for inshore fishing. Both have resistance when retrieving a swimbait. (5” 1/2oz jig) Without retrieving lure they are smooth and feel normal. Line rollers are spinning freely. What can be the issue?

So weird thing about this was when I bought these reels, the owner of the tackle store decided to throw in some free braid for me and he spooled the reels up on a machine. I normally don’t like machine spooling as I spool all my reels myself by hand. After messing around with the reels and coming across the issue of resistance and tightness, I decided to strip the line off because the reels were slightly overspooled to my liking. I transferred the line to another reel, removed some backing and respooled the reels by hand to my liking. I had some time to kill yesterday before Easter gathering and to my surprise the resistance and Tightness issue is just about gone. Not sure why machine spooling would

cause this issue but both reels seem to be much better 

Machine spooling might have distorted the spool enough to cause the difference. 

The amount of line on the spool shouldn't bind the reel up like that.
