  1. Anyone use these? Experienced??Really lightweight reel for the price point
  2. Besides keitech easy shiners and swing impacts what are your guys favorite 3-4” similar swimbaits? I recently tried out the berkley ripple Shad’s and love em
  3. So weird thing about this was when I bought these reels, the owner of the tackle store decided to throw in some free braid for me and he spooled the reels up on a machine. I normally don’t like machine spooling as I spool all my reels myself by hand. After messing around with the reels and coming across the issue of resistance and tightness, I decided to strip the line off because the reels were slightly overspooled to my liking. I transferred the line to another reel, removed some backing and respooled the reels by hand to my liking. I had some time to kill yesterday before Easter gathering and to my surprise the resistance and Tightness issue is just about gone. Not sure why machine spooling would cause this issue but both reels seem to be much better
  4. Bought two new nasci 4000s for inshore fishing. Both have resistance when retrieving a swimbait. (5” 1/2oz jig) Without retrieving lure they are smooth and feel normal. Line rollers are spinning freely. What can be the issue?
  5. Nice fish I am impatiently awaiting them to return to east end of LI
  6. I always like the booyah pond magic
  7. You’re probably fine but if it was me I’d change out the line and store rods indoors from now on. Why let something like line possibly ruin a good day on the water
  8. Glad to hear you had good experience with Amazon. I personally have never ordered a rod from Amazon but have heard horror stories
  9. Rods and reel stay on climate controlled basement. If I’m fishing a lot I may leave the rod in the car for a few days at a time with no issues
  10. Yes. The fish at the time were feeding on golden shiners. I would twitch the bait 2-3 times then pause it for 5-10 seconds. It is a painful and boring way to fish but works
  11. I took a 6lber years ago mid March here in NY with water in 40s. A walking bait fished painfully slow with long pauses did the trick
