Jordan, Falls or Harris?

Featured Replies

I've only ever been to Harris once but I'm looking to plan a trip to one of these 3 lakes between now and mid May. For those of you who have fished one or all of them which would you peg as the better lake to hit in this timeframe? Any particular areas?

Jordan really impressed me when I visited last summer

Jordan - the lake is big, it has big fish, and you can probably find fish to bite whatever presentation you want to use that’s reasonable for the time frame.

Another vote for Jordan just watch out for the trees.

Lately, everything I've been seeing has been leading me to believe that of those three you're going to have the most fun on Sharon Harris.

Seems like it's a little bit more slept on and less hammered.

But Jordan has some giant freaking bass in it.

I'm heading to Falls late next week.  I will give you a full an honest account of the trip.

Always seem Jordan produces big bass but also seen (not these forums) Jordan is tough to fish? Not afraid of a challenge but don't want to question my life either.

Ive always had to treat Lake Jordan Largemouth like Florida bass. They are very finnicky about the cold.

I had a change of plans on the Falls Lake trip.

I fished a tournament on Jordan yesterday. We placed 5th with 17 and change. The winning weight was 21 and change.

It was my first time on Jordan and honestly, the lack of development on the lake is refreshing. As for the fishing; we caught plenty of fish but couldn't find anything over 5.

All fish were caught on topwater, a creature bait, a drop shot, and crankbait. The two biggest fish(5 and a 4.50) were on a drop shot and creature bait. Points with grass , wood, and a seawall.

It was a fun day. The guy I fished with is an NPFL angler and wouldn't take pictures as we went. Oh well. I plan to go back to Jordan soon and fish Falls the same week.

I would pick Kerr lake since I have the stripper bug.

I'm biased towards Jordan since I caught my PB there.

fished Jordan twice this week, tough for me but as always in a tourney somebody figures them out. i cant figure them out offshore or shallow. white perch are everywhere though, you could fill a cooler with them.

havent gotten to Jordan yet this year, been extremely busy. I do have a trip lined up starting Friday on Lake Norman until July 1st though and my father is coming over for a long weekend in late July. We may explore past the local lakes here then. Appreciate the feedback so far on the lake though.
