I have a 1754 with a 60 hp Mercury and I have to remove the prop to fish in the reservoir my question is do I just pull it off and put the nut back on or are there other steps that need to be taken. New to boating any appreciate any help and advice.

I’d pull the prop and put it in a box with the nut and washers until I put it back on.

What Jig Man said.  Keep the nut and washer/s with the prop.

Thanks pulled it apart taped it together in the order it came off an put it in a box.
