I put a small electrical wire nut over the hook now and when not in use it lives in the cup holder on the boat.

I just ordered one,not sure if it would of helped in this cases with the urchin in place and the weight of the dice rig in the way, I tried to rip it out with a pair of pliers twice but couldn’t get it out.

It happened on the 8th back out on the 9th. Dice rig is ok I prefer the Reneau trigger rig, less missed bites and everyone so far has been in the top of their mouth. Also much easier to rig.

They asked me if I cared about the lure I told them I was most concerned about going home with the finger. Those hags are tough first she tried to remove it with a scissor and then when that didn’t work she went and got a scalpel and even that took some time and effort to cut through it.

Brutal was the physician assistant in the emergency room trying to get it out, first she came in with 18” bolt cutters and started mangling my finger and when I told her it wouldn’t work she tried harder. Eventually she went and got a small pair of diagonal cutters and clipped it apart and then pushed the hook through the other side of the finger.

Inserting dice rig into hag and the wire bent and rolled the hook into my finger.

I use the Hags and must have attest 50 on the original green pumpkin I tied on and most of them were nice size, I think when you break down the price by the amount of fish you are able to catch per bait they aren’t such a bad deal. Of course I’m not going to complain if the price drops and have also picked up some from Amazon to try as well. Good luck and tight lines.

A-B-C always be casting, I have a friend I fish with and I always out fish him because he sits there and dawdles while I’m fishing and then wants to know why we are throwing the same lure and he isn’t catching anything.

I have tried the treble hook and frog hook but ran across the Reneau Tackle Trigger Hook , best hook up ratio and all in the top of the mouth.

I have been fishing the hag with a 1/0 treble, I got some of the core dice rig hooks 3/0 and tried it on a moeba I ended up missing a few hook sets and lost a nice fish at the boat. I will have to try them on the hags for a true comparison but have definitely had more success with the treble.

Cut down a HDPE cutting board to fit the opening, waterproof and will last forever.

Been doing pretty good with a chatter bait this year, typical retrieve is cast it out let it hit the bottom then snap it off of the bottom and slow roll it back. A lot of times it will get hit within seconds of it touching the water.

It’s always something, the day it ends is the day they put you in the ground. It is a little more tolerable when you are able to take care of the problem yourself.

I have a scale in the boat and rarely weight fish, If i think it will exceed 5lbs I will usually throw her on the scale.

Toxic that's really nice of you any help would be greatly appreciated, we rented the totally hooked lake house in Fairhaven, hoping its not to far out of the way. I have a 1754sc with a 60hp on it so definitely hoping for good weather .

Glad you had a great trip, I’m planning on going their next year I believe the dates are 5/15-23., will be my first time so I have some investigating to do.

You really don’t realize how much you miss something until you lose it, I found myself trying to check in multiple times a day. Glad you are back up and running and that everything is ok.
