Manasquan reservoir
So got out for about 4 hours caught a couple of dinks really couldn’t find any fish schooled up and then the wind picked up around 11:30-12. The water was down about 8’, on my map it I was supposed to be following the 15’ contour but it was actually 7’.

Cleanup Day for the Pearl
I just ordered one as well, should be here in a few days it said it was made for the boat so hopefully it fights right. I would be careful about two covers because you can trap moisture in it and cause mold.

Starting a club?
Years ago when the KFS site was up and running we would just put out a location and see who wanted to join us and we would all fish for the day. I think it would be fairly easy to get a facebook group going for informal meetups.

Starting a club?
You may be better of starting a Facebook group and try to organize outings and meetups from there.

Boat Seats
I have them millennium seat on a pedestal in my John boat and really like it, on a side not I’m 6’-2” 270# and find it to be very stable and sturdy.

Overhand Roll Cast?
most kayakers use an overhand roll cast because they are usually seated when casting and underhand is pretty tight because you are so low to the water.

Fiberglass or aluminum Jon boat?
So my current boat is standard tracker green if ai were to painted a lighter color how much of a difference do you think it would make, in the heat of summer you can fry an egg in the deck and there is definitely no way you can stand the with bare feet.

Lithium batteries
I should have said at 20 percent, once I’m close to 20 I will charge it. Below is a snippet from LiTime. For a LiTime 24v LiFePO4 battery, a good rule of thumb is to keep it between 20% and 80% charge, though full 100% charges are acceptable with modern LiFePO4 batteries. Avoid prolonged storage at 100% or near 0%. For maximum lifespan, the "20-80 rule" is recommended.

Lithium batteries
I have 80# 24v Terrova, I’m powering it with 100ah 24v LiTime battery and I’m very happy with it. I have been out with multiple 5-6 hr trips before having to recharge it, I usually won’t recharge until below 20 percent. I purchased the the 20A charger from LiTime.

water inside of both waterproof light housings on trailer break lights
I may look into replacing them, the light bulb housings were already corroded, didn’t bother trying to contact seller I doubt if they will do anything about it.

water inside of both waterproof light housings on trailer break lights
I purchased a 2024 grizzly tracker 1754sc, probably had it out about 15 times so far and the other day I noticed a light out. I took the housing apart and there was water inside of the housing, I put new bulbs in and packed the sockets with dielectric grease I also put the dielectric grease inside of the little track that the plastic housing sits in to allegedly keep the water out. Any other ideas or tips to keep this from happening. Thanks

winterizing your boat
For $100 they will It would be running the engine on winterizing fuel mix, adding stabilizer to the gas, gear lube change, and fogging the engine.

winterizing your boat
Do you winterize your outboard yourself or do you pay to have it done. this is the first season I've had the boat it has a 60hp Merc on it and was quoted $100 which doesn't seem to bad, not sure what it would cost for the materials to winterize it if I had to purchase everything.

Do you pull the batteries out of your boat for the winter
So they should be brought inside to play it safe, the battery in the stern is easy to access the battery in the bow won’t fit through the hatch door on my 1754 without taking the hatch and frame out, at least I replaced the rivets with screws and nylon locknuts. Thanks for the feedback.

Do you pull the batteries out of your boat for the winter
I live in the North East and was wondering if everyone pulls their batteries for the winter or just plug a trickle charger in, the boat will be under a cover on the driveway. I have a lead acid for the cranking battery and a 24v lithium for the trolling motor. Thanks
