A friend of my stopped by last week and showed me a couple of Warrior Boron rods he purchased in Baltimore. They seemed pretty sweet to me. Sweet enough that I am going to look into purchasing one to see if I like it. Have any of you tried these rods? Suggestions/Opinions would be appreciated. I am wondering how they would hold up. I have a ridiculous unbreakable habit with  a baitcasting rod  with a jig on the other end. When I set the hook, I practically snap the rod in two,lol.

Very interesting, I haven't used a boron rod since  the early 80s, I'm not sure why they didn't catch on like graphite, but I do remember they were very delicate. I'd be very interested in testing a new one out though. I've always had an interest in boron, even though my old boron rods were sold off as I started my collection of Loomis. Let us know how you like it if you do get one.

If they could solve the problems of boron rods you would never hear about graphite rods again. In the 80's Loomis and Browning had boron rods wicked light and just awsome power and unblievable load and unload casting. I had a 7 ft. loomis boron for throwing spoons for steelhead that would out cast 10 and 12 ft graphite. Also a couple 6-6 browning boron rip jigging rods that you would slam walleye so hard they looked confuzed.

The problem was just one little scracth or nick and they would grenade.

I also had a Boron rod in the early 80s sold under the BPS logo.  It was a great jig rod.

I remember boron rods being marketed back in the 80's but could not afford one.  I'd be interested in picking one up as well.
