A disturbing incident occurred here yesterday not far from where I live (and even closer to my previous house). I don’t want to make this political but two state legislators were shot in their homes during the night by a suspect posing as a police officer in what appears to be a politically-motivated agenda. One attack was fatal and her spouse was also killed. The other two are in a trauma center recovering. The authorities arrived on scene at the second home right when he was leaving and they exchange gunfire. The suspect escaped on foot and is still at large.

 

The individual is highly trained and has access to specialized weapons and equipment. The FBI is offering a $50k reward leading to the arrest.

 

I received some communication through work with more details on the individual and what to look for. I can’t relay those details publicly at this time.

 

Stay vigilant. If you live in this state or a neighboring one, be on the look out for this individual. The really alarming aspect is that he could be posing as an officer and no one would notice.

That's the thing.  K9's were used and they couldn't locate him while "shelter in place" was issued for half the day.

 

I'm flabbergasted that he could have a shoot out with police and then escape on foot.  Can't figure that one out.

They caught him.

Yes his likeness showed up on someone’s trail cam  who notified the police & they set up a perimeter around that location. Police men & drones subsequently located him.

I think the owner of the trail camera who notified authorities should be awarded the $50,000 reward.  That information led directly to arrest of the suspect.

 

What a story that would be for life.  Catching the most wanted fugitive in state history on your trail camera...

i'm glad they caught that nutjob.   i heard he was just getting warmed up.
