Shimano Chronarch?

Then you'd complain that it's too heavy if it were alloy.  Me thinks you should bust out a few CAD mock-ups and go show those Shimano engineers who's boss.

The old Aldebarans had a magnesium handle side plate, and it was perfect that same. The same applies to most Steez reels, and they're certainly not heavy, but kinda perfect to balance a M or a MH rod.

But yea, maybe i should show Shimano engineers how it's done, it's about time somebody tells em to thrown away micromodule into a dumpster.

I talked to a shimano rep. He definitely said a new Chronarch is coming but didn’t provide details.

I saw a few sites discount the reel 100 bucks so good time to grab one.

This is the right move regardless of direction. The Chronarch line is a staple of brand awareness.
