Minn-kota 5 bank charger issue - losing battery setting

Featured Replies

I have a minn-kota 5 bank charger, and station 2 sometimes just forgets to be on the lithium setting, which means it doesn't charge. I shouldn't have to check it every time. Of course it's my electronics battery which is the heaviest load. I can get by with the jump setting between that battery and the lithium cranking battery, but that's not ideal and I doubt it's good for the battery to do that every time anyway.

Is there a common problem/issue here, or just get a replacement under warranty?

Did you try to change the bank to the correct battery type to make it work?  I don't understand why you have to jump the battery.  Has the BMS been turning it off for some reason?

Change the leads, if it keeps happening you’ve narrowed it down to the battery BMS.

Yeah if I change it back it'll stick for a while. Maybe a week, maybe two months. And works fine.

Sounds like I should just get a replacement.
