Tell ya a funny. My wife was sitting on the couch and I was digging through my stuff, and I found a bag of powerworms. I opened the bag and smelled it, tossed it to her and told her to smell these.

She opened the bag and put her nose down in there and took a deep breath. She jerked her head out and said "Ewww!" I laughed good and hard.

The powerbait smell takes me back to 1988 when Id rig a power worm on my 6'M Lightning Rod with a Tru-Turn hook.  Its a good smell 🤠

My father swore by Uncle Josh’s pork rind trailers, and would use the liquid in empty bottles to treat other baits (I have no idea if that worked).  About 10 years ago I found a bottle still containing some trailers in my mother’s basement.  I couldn’t resist opening and smelling it.  I was instantly transported back to the 60s and my place in front of the boat with my dad on the Tennessee river.  That was a good smell, too!

I remember Uncle Josh pork trailers about 25 years ago. When I got back into fishing 3 years ago they were gone. I still remember the smell though.

I lightly spray every bag of soft plastics with Baitmate classic with anise.

Some say " but it releases the salt " .

I use a weight silly 😁
