They seem a bit dull.

It's been years since I last used them although I still have a few somewhere.

Yes, I do. Yes, they need sharpened. Not the only hooks in my tackle box. Like them with Zoom finesse worms.

I still carry them, and they still need a few passes on the hook file, just like they did in the 80’s.

 

When I’m splitshotting or doodling, it’s virtually always on a Tru Turn.

I use the 4/0 "brute" on plastic worms 8" or longer. Slithers through heavy vegetation better than ewg. I carry a small diamond file for my hooks.

Not anymore but I use to, and yea gotta hit them w a file.. they work really well though on a hook set. 

I have a friend that swears by them. One of his favorite rigs is Zoom Millipede mock texas rigged on a Tru-Turn hook with a bobber stopped 1/16oz bullet weight. Small piece of toothpick or heavy mono through the hook eye to keep the Millipede from sliding down the hook.

 

He does well with it! Haven't seen him use it as much lately. He's been kind of stuck on a damiki rig type set up lately.
