Haha.  Brutal.  Water was warm like bath water. I saw 77 degrees F.   It was dayglow green from algae.  The grass was brown/black from weed abatement.

it was nice floating around out there.  Zero bites.   Clearlake.   Nobody was catching that I could see and talk to.

it was bound to happen.    :)  good times!

I'm on a large, deep lake in the Ozarks.  Water temps at 5:30 in the morning are 90 degrees and rising;  had my first skunk a couple weeks ago.  May be time to consider a cabin in the north woods.

They're forecasting feels like temps of 110-115 degrees in S. Carolina, N. Carolina, Georgia, and Florida in the coming days.

Today was mine too. Bathwater and 95 degrees at 10 am combined to make this day a bit unpleasant. Still better than going to work though.

I went yesterday morning for about 3.5 hours and the surface water temp hit 80 degrees.  It's the first time I've seen 80 here this season.

Fishing was very tough compared to recent outings, and I'm quite sure the increase in water temps played a role.  By 9:30am, the 12 spot parking lot was full and 3 more recreational boats were waiting.

I did, however, catch the biggest largemouth I've caught all season in addition to a few other quality fish.  But honestly, that was barely worth going given how warm it was and how slow the fishing was.

Thankfully, there does appear to be cooler weather coming this week here.
