They just work sometimes and I don't know why? They work best for me in clear water for SM.

Thanks.

There isn't a whole lot of places around here that I fish that have tons of smallmouth. I'll have to see how they do for largemouth, and try them on the couple rivers around here that have smallmouth.

What do pink flukes imitate? When should I be throwing them?

A couple of weeks ago, I decided to spend an hour fishing my buddies pond. After about an hour I had not caught a fish. In my bag was a pack of pink worms I had picked up at Ollies. The bag was never opened and I thought "what the heck".

I caught 4 bass that day with the pink worm.

I went back last week and they were not interested in pink worms.

They wanted the usual green pumpkin. :confused1:

BTW pink and white or pearl are my favorite fluke colors.

I have had a lot of luck fishing the Yamamoto D shad in bubblegum for smallmouth and largemouth.

Last week I had my best day in ages, almost entirely on a magnum bubblegum fluke, fishing it around lily pads/weeds.

This is always in fairly clear water. It is nice that the bass eat it because it's probably the most visible colour in the water so it it is easy to see your bait.

Interesting someone here said they see it as a form of red, because red around here is terrible for me. I assumed they saw it as somehow close to white?
