I have noticed on many casts, the line catches on the front treble hook of my karashi, sometimes on both hooks. Anyone have this issue? I may try to put a bobber stop or a piece of tiny straw on the line in front of the lure to see if that helps. It may also be that I am using a light weight braid on my BFS reel, but It should not matter that much.

I've made hundreds of casts with the karashi this year never had the hooks foul once. I would ditch the braid and go strait copoly maxima ultra green 6# or at least add a leader.

One of the many reasons I dont use straight Braid on BFS gear. Go to fluorocarbon 6lb. You want line that sinks with this bait.

Agreed that a leader would help. Braid tends to foul most treble hook baits.
