I'm not supposed to set the hook as soon as I see a topwater bite but after 50 years of topwater fishing I still do.  I still miss most of my bites, but I guess I am just a slow learner.

You already said that you eat bananas in the boat, saying you're a slow learner is redundant. :lol-045:

I'm not supposed to cut my main line when I'm trying to cut the tag off a new knot but I do regularly.  Then I say words I'm not supposed to say when I toss my untethered lure into the water and watch

  • We’re not supposed to like catching only 1 fish but I’m not after every 1 lb fish in the lake and when I get one big bite in 6 hours I like it the best.

No better way to lose a fish than with them throwing the hook mid-air. I like it, as long as they aren't a new PB.

Scary!!  I once had a boat bearing down on me. I stood up in my kayak to make myself more visible and to get ready to jump off.  He veered last minute and played it off like it was all planned.    He was watching his skier im

sure.

It is scary and made even scarier by the fact that many boaters are drunk.
