Snap ring or direct knot on a spybait?

Featured Replies

I am using size1 Owner hyper weld lock snap, very light and strong.

If you want tiny AND strong (41lbs), give the Ryugi R Snap a try.

Tie 6lb test direct to spybaits. Normally I use a snap on hard baits, but not spybaits. The lure is designed to run horizontal with a slight roll. I feel a snap throughs the balance off.

That makes sense. I suspect Duo intended the same thing because the front of the bait where you tie on is so thick I occasionally bend out snap rings trying to get them on.
