Orochi X10 Jade Python

Thinking of grabbing one for all around finesse techniques like Neko, Ned, drop shot. Possibly small paddle tails as well like okashira head and spark shad or 1/4oz jighead and spark shad.

Not seeing much feedback on the rod other than a YouTube review that was posted recently. Anyone fishing this rod?

Ordered this rod to use for light finesse applications, should arrive in a couple of days. I don't fish spinning rods much but am curious as to what opinions are of folks currently using this rod. I also saw Brians review on this rod and hope I'm as impressed as he is in this rod. Looking forward to responses. Ron

Can you let me know what you think of it when you get it in and when you get it out on the water? I’m in the northeast and currently under ice.

Did you get the rod yet? I decided I need one and put through an order today so will try to post feedback when I get it and more ideally when I get it out on the water.

How was it casting the ned rig? I’ve heard mixed opinions on how it does casting the lower end of the rod rating.

Reel had 20# 832 braid on it, I added a 8# Invix leader and it casted a 1/8 oz blockhead and a fuzzy TRD just fine. I'll probably go to 10# j-braid so it will cast even better, don't see any problem on the lighter baits. I don't use spinning equipment much but this will always be on my boat this year. I think this will make a good walleye rod for certain applications too. I will try some wacky rigs next time out. Let me know how you find this rod to be when you get yours. Thx Ron

I probably won’t be able to get it out for at least another 3-4 weeks due to ice being on my lakes currently but I did throw a reel on it and tie off to my coffee table to test the bend/taper.

I really like the grip - pointer finger rests on the blank when you hold it above the reel stem. The rod does feel slightly heavier in weight compared to other top of the line options but I knew that going in.

The taper and power is exactly what I was hoping for. It has good power when you get into the backbone but a regular fast action in the tip which should be very versatile. I think it will be excellent for small swimbaits on ballheads and weighted wacky rigs. It might be a little on the heavy side for Ned and Neko rigging but I think it should do fine for larger Neko presentations.
