Hey fellas I never fish with them anymore so I need a suggestion for a decent 2 piece 6'6" spinning rod Med Action , fast tip. I want to put a Pflueger Trion (8# Test line) to keep in the car with a small box for pond fishing. I dont want to spend more than about 40 bucks  SUGGESTIONS????

Both of these are offered in 6'6" Med, 2-pc.  I'd also check cabela's also just in case they have some sales on right now.  

I still have one of the Tourney Specials- I think for the price range they are hard to beat!  (I use it as a loaner rod and everyone seems to really like it)

I don't know a lot about higher end rods Muddy but in my price range ( $40 or less) I've used the Berkley lightning rods and like them. I own 2 and no problems ( fast tip?) Bps has them on sale right now you can often pick them up for $20

I also saw where for $64 BPS has their Extreme series on sale and it is probably a much better rod

Good luck with that. Having a child in the hospital is incredibly stressful. I hope she pulls out okay.

Muddy, I may be in the minority on this one, but since a two-piece rod is likely to be used only occasionally, and since it's by nature going to be inferior to a one-piece rod (imho), I wouldn't spend much on one. My two-piece spinning rod is a cheap Shakespeare model I bought at Wally world and I've caught a lot of nice fish on it. I still occasionally use it camping if space is tight. I do have to twist it from time to time while using it to keep the guides aligned, though.

I would go with the bionic blade. It's the best valued rod and will give you the most bang for your buck.

Also take a look at the St. Croix Triumph. Some like it and some don't but I have one and it is defenitly a good rod for the money. Only about 50 bucks for a st croix

Why don't you put your Pflueger reel on a Pflueger Trion rod?

Last time I checked it was near your price point. I used these

rods for a couple of seasons (before Shakespeare (Pflueger)

bought All Star) and they are very good rods for the money.

I would think you would be able to find them pretty easy.

I'll second that. Shakespeare Excursion for $12.99 at Wally World. I bought mine for a cheap, who cares if it gets broke or lost, easy to store camping rod. I'll tell ya right now, for $13.00 bucks you will be amazed.
