Shimano Stradic 2500 Ci4+ pricing question

Featured Replies

My fishing club is having its annual garage sale and I have 2- Shimano Stradic 2500 Ci4+ reels that I'm considering selling. I baby my equipment would rate them at a 9.5 out of 10. I could almost sell them as NWB. I know the Vanford's are around $ 250.00 new. Is asking $ 200.00 out of line? TIA, Randy

Well based on what I can buy that reel for right now on ebay for $115 with free shipping all the way from Japan, I'd say based on that alone your price is a bit steep. You might find a taker. Good luck!

The question is whether Shimano still supports parts for your reels - I don't think you can get spare spools.

They're a different older design from '18 and '22 Stella series.

If I was buying, I'd go to JDM for new before considering $200 elsewhere.

Thanks guys. After doing a little more research I think I might be too high. I'll keep for for $ 115.00 though.

As long as it works for you. When you don't want to look at it, give it to a friend to enjoy.

@Randy Price - I agree with bulldog. When you can buy a brand new JDM stradic for $150, that's a hard price point to sell a couple generations old reel at. I might have a spare spool in the basement (not sure 2500 or 4k size). I'll check when I get home.
