Chemicals to Potect Tackle Boxes from UV Light?

Featured Replies

I'm trying to keep my gear clean and lasting a lot time.

I started using 303 on my waders and boat. Is it safe to spray this on a plastic tackle box? I mean, negative scents can spook fish. Any thoughts on use this on object I have and take with me, if I let it air dry to remove VOCs? Or any other products I should use that protects from UV and is low oder?

Plastic stuff degrades. I want to keep my stuff nice. I'm storing it in-doors, but just trying to take good care of it.

You certainly could spray/wipe the outside down with the 303 every once in a while if it brings you peace of mind. Once it dries it shouldn't really have a smell. And if you just did the outside it'd be no biggie.

I spray 303 on everything on my kayak... Keeps stuff from fading... Even put it on my PFD...

Like MRQturbo my kayak gets the 303 treatment multiple times a year.

I use it on my latex seals on my dry top too.

Dash gets it also on the Forester, keeps it looking like new even though I'm on my 11th year on it.
