I have a dedicated DS outfit. I also have a dedicated outfit for the splitshot rig. Always rigged and ready to throw.

Every time i see a dropshot subject come out, i can't help but think of gim, and how much he despises it.

My hope is that every regular poster here thinks of me every time...

They fish with a drop shot.

They catch a rock bass.

They need a haircut.

And the subsequent thought is "you know, he's right. What am I doing."

I just built a DS rid this winter. NFC ds721 as a dedicated drop shot rod so going forward yea I will have one ready.

I rarely dropshot. Can't stand it, really. BUT I do keep a dedicated dropshot rod in the boat at all times. I have a very hard time not "reaction" fishing but every once in a while, you see something too good not to drop on.

I'm with you. To me it's like sitting there with a cane pole. Just my opinion. My brother loves a DS. I will say though, I do have one rod that is set up for DS but it very rarely gets used.
