Buying Used Electronics

Featured Replies

I am wanting to put a GPS/down scan depth finder on the bow of my boat and connect it to the Garmin 93SV in my console. I don't really need a side scan unit on the bow.

No more than I will use it it's hard to justify spending $12-$1400 for a new one.

What are y'all's thoughts about buying used electronics.?

It seems there are a lot of people selling them because they are upgrading to FFS.

I'm always worried that I'm buying someone else's problems.

Is there anything that I should look for?

If you look on Facebook marketplace and find one you could always bring a battery with you and try it out before you fork over the cash. Also, some online retailers have buy back programs for anglers looking to upgrade so you could go that route.

I did a search on facebook market place in the Roanoke VA area and found many used 93sv's for sale. I'd think your location would also give you many options.
