I don’t think you need a fancy rod, I say that so I can join the bandwagon.

I actively went out looking for a broom stick that’s as light as possible.

That rod so far has ended up being the expride b 7’3 XH.

I had the champion dc736. It’s a bit heavier so when you’re switching the rod you feel the weight more. Not something the famous Dobyns balance fixed in my opinion.

This is where I’m at. I say high end because I want something light that’s going to be easy to fish with. Sounds like the expride XH is probably best bet for what I’m looking for all things considered.
