Black Bass

Bass-focused. Extensive. Progressive. Buy if you’re seeking a wide selection of technique-optimized high-performance bass rods with exceptional ergonomics and aesthetics at a great price.

I just noticed the jump in the recommendations for line and I noticed a drastic jump. For instance the 7-2 mhm lure weight 3/8-7/8 oz they recommend 12-20 but then the

7-3 mhf lure weight 5/16-1 oz they recommend line recommendations is 14- all the way to 65 lb. ??? I don’t understand why so drastic increase. Can someone please explain.

14-65 is a braid/fluoro/mono rating.

The MHM is a moving bait rod.

So it would be 14 lb mono or 65 lb braid ?

Or do I have that backwards. It’s about the diameter then

Ya - it's a diameter thing more than a pound-test thing.

I have the 7'3" MH/F with a Lews Tournament MP 6.8 on it running 15# InvizX. Been a good rod actually, casts well. Not as sensitive as my Mojo 7'1" MH/F, but good for spinners/chatters.

I don't pay as much attention to the line ratings as I do the lure ratings...I look at line ratings as 'suggestions'.

I'm sure you could run 10#-20# mono/FC or 30#-65# braid without issues.
