Anyone using the Elite? I have been having excellent luck with the Siege and was wondering what others thought. I hear the elite work better for spinning reels. Thinking about trying there braid too instead of power pro.

I use elite on my baitcaster and it works great.  My dad uses elite on his spinner and it works GREAT.

It's a pretty odd line, though.  It'll stay limp as long as you don't keep it too tense on your spool or work it out in the cold for too long.  The stuff is really stretchy, but somehow it's still a very sensitive line.  Casts like a dream.

I have yet to try Siege (i'm thinking of doing that when I get a Revo SX and start goin for stripers), but from what I hear, Elite is probably their limpest, most sensitive stuff.

If that's too stretchy for you, you should go to Bubba Jack's tackle and pick up some Sufix DNA.  That was their older model which is copolymer and barely stretches at all.  The elite just simply spools better, stays limper, and is more sensitive (again, don't ask me how).

This is my first season with the Sufix and so far I like it fine. It does not have as much stretch as...

hmmm...brain fart...cannot think of what it is the wife uses...

(going out to the boat)

Berkley Vanish

but at any rate I use her line on my crank bait rod because I like the stretch it has...

other than that I like it fine. I was worried about it having too much memory when I first loaded it on the reel...seemed stiff...but I have had no problems with memory at all.

I started using elite on my spinning gear last year and I love it.  My regular fishing partner was impressed by my results and tried it on his BC gear, now he's made the switch on all his rods to elite.  It's about as good a combination of tough and managable as I have seen in line.
