Gblanks rods

Featured Replies

Does anybody own a Gblanks rod or has anybody been able to use one? If so what do you think of them?

I was going to get another Kistler but before I do that I want to get a spiral wrapped rod and these babies look really good and are fairly cheap compared to other custom and brand name rods.

I own 6 or 7 G Blanks right now. I really like 'em and they are very light and sensitive. Not quite as sensitive as my Heliums but every bit as light. My GBlanks flippin rod is actually lighter than my Helium flippin rod by about a 1/2 oz.....probably the split grip weight.

I dont have any problems with them.

I also have the flipping rod and love it. I also have a 6'10" mh casting rod (that makes the Kistler Helium here seem like firewood).

I just had GB make me a custom G-Blanks (actually paid Larry for it yesterday because it ships today). Got another 6'10" made on a Shikari blank, Heavy/Fast, and a few little other mods. Cost $158 total to my door priority mail.

The G-Blanks 6'10" mh/fast rod with the TD-ito 103M on it is by far the best setup I've ever owned or touched. Combo Weighs 9.01 oz on my digital scale without line and lure.

G-Blanks has to be the best bang for the buck going for fans of lightness in setups.

Just call Kistler and tell them what you want. They will do any kind of custom mods that you want.
