  1. Split grip AND a foregrip? No thanks!
  2. Are you sure that the reel isn't the problem and not the rod? If it was truly a problem with the rod, but was only noticeable when you put the reel on it, then you need to make sure you let them know that. Tell them to put a reel on it.
  3. What he said. I cast a lot of those same lures and others with my Citica 200E. Seeing as how the Curado's spool is lighter, then it should be even better.. Line and rod choice make a big difference in what you can and cannot cast. For the money, the Citica/Curado E's can't be beat.
  4. They have an exclusive deal with TW for 2 different frog rods... these may fit your needs better... http://www.***.com/descpageRDCPOWELL-PCFR.html
  5. Agree 100% A bass rod, especially a casting rod, should never ever come with a foregrip. Total waste IMO.
  6. Because we don't all use #10 mono or braid... I've got mine spooled with 14lb Fluroclear and I have plenty of reserve.
  7. To me the Zillion and Cumara are both more sensitive than the IMX. I guess that is why they say sensitivity is subjective.
  8. I've never understood peoples response to the mojo rod. It is the same blank as the premier.. Anyone that ever owned a premier talks about how poorly it performs, yet they just add a split grip and some purple paint and all the sudden it is a great rod? Personally, the only st croix rod that feels better than average is the legend elite. The others don't compare very well to most rods in their price points.
  9. But didn't you just confirm what he said? On your 802 (which is a light powered rod) the pixy shined, but on your flipping stick it didn't do so well. If the rod will load properly to cast light baits, then you can use just about any reel, especially if using lighter line.. Hence the importance of the rod.
  10. I agree.. Plus, the Zillions are just too heavy and don't palm near as good as the Curado.
  11. Yep. Everyone that has seen it in person says it's garbage. Daiwa is taken a step backwards this year.
  12. Yeah, not to get too far off topic, but those Big Green Fish ABEC7's are the best bearings I have used.. and I've used literally everything. I just hopes he keeps the price down on them! They can't be beat.
  13. Looks like it had external cast control adjustments.. when did they switch over to internal on the U.S models? Shimano's are built to last.
