What the heck is it about this reel?  It has an unchromed black plastic thumb bar.  The drag star has what looks like mold lines in it (is it plastic?).  It has fewer bearings than the Exceller, and doesn't seem to stack up on paper against the Trillionaire and TD-Pro (BPS exclusive).  All this and only $100 more than the Exceller.   :-/

Yep.  Everyone that has seen it in person says it's garbage.  Daiwa is taken a step backwards this year.

They had the Advantage-HSTA for $169.  That, by all accounts, is an excellent reel.  Why buy an expensive Exceller when you can get the HSTA?  If then needed something new, a new color for the HSTA would have been nice, or a price cut on the Fuego.

Nobody ever complains when a certain other japanese company pumps out the same thing year after year, but when a new reel with a fast retrieve debuts it gets spit on.

I haven't held it yet, but it does have the Steez 100h spool.  Granted, it holds a million yards of line, which nullifies the lightweight spool.
