Shimano baitcasters - the good news and bad.

Obviously my attempt at humor backfired somewhat.

It's one of the hazards of posting instead of a "Live" routine.

NOTHING in that post was true.  NO backlashes, no taking the reel apart, no extra parts. NOTHING>

It was a made up skit, a routine, like one of Edbassers video's...not to be taken seriously.

1.  I do not hate Shimano products

2.  I own Shimano reels and one in particular, My Symetre 750 is perhaps the best reel value I have ever seen.

3.  I own Shimano rods

Just because Daiwa makes better reels doesn't make Shimano lovers chumps...............

THAT'S A JOKE TOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best quote ever.

Avid, I can feel your pain. Many of my attempts at humor are not appreciated as much as they deserve. ::) :)

BTW, I think your story is very funny.

PS: I have a bag of Diawa reel parts from a misguided repair effort. Fortunately it was a very inexpensive reel that had been abused for a number of years....

i also use 2 out and the rest in. I own like 7 shimano reels and they are all set up exactly the same.

Shimano rocks

maybe you should just try to learn how to use the reel first, since every brand is different, before you post a messege bashing a whole company.... which was obviously your intention and just make you look bad.

this from a world reknowned pflueger basher.ROFLMAO!!!BTW.avid could never look bad.he is an accomplished fisherman and a well liked member of this board.

Shimano gives you extra parts right inside the reel !!!!

Hope you're not a Surgeon or car mechanic.  Grin

LOL!!

Avid,

You missed by 1 1/2 months or so on this. You should have made this an April fools joke! Re-live it next year, the same people who are wound a little too tight will fall for it next year! LOL

Good thing you did fess up now they can re-call the posse after a long ride to no-where!

Did you suffer any close call rope burns?
