Ok this is killing me. I am going to buy one more rod and that's it for a long while. (we'll see) here is what i have now.

7' med-hvy-mod casting avid------shimano citica 5.1:1

7' med-hvy-fast casting avid-------shimano citica 6.2:1

6'6 med-hvy-fast spinning avid----shimano sahara 2000

6'6 med-fast spinning avid---------shimano sedona 1500

6'6 med-hvy-fast casting premier-quantum accurist

7' med-hvy-fast casting gander mountain guide series tournament----shimano curado 200 6.2:1 (old green one)

6'9 med-hvy-extra-fast casting g-loomis spinnerbait series-------------shimano curado 200 5.1:1 (old green one)

I mostly fish in the weeds around docks and pads I am trying to learn to fish deeper. The rod I have been looking at is this one http://www.kistlerrods.com/p/KR/c-fr-spinning-rods/He2MH69S.html

I want to use it for skipping senkos under docks which accounts for probably 50% of my fishing.

what do you think about that rod? do you see one I am missing? is there another rod better suited for skipping senkos?

I will be pairing it with a shimano symetre 2500

what do you guys think mabye you will see something I am missing or mabye I am just thinking about it too much ;D

Don't let me stop you from buying another rod and reel but your existing 6'6" Avid M/FST spinning rod combo would probably do the trick just fine.

If you just HAVE TO get another rod and you fish a lot of weeds & pads, I don't see a 7'+ heavy power fast rod on your list. JMHO

I have always figured heavy action rods to be for flipping jigs which i don't do much of i have never had luck with that. can you point out some other uses for a heavy action rod.

thanks any and all suggestions are welcome this will be my last and probably the most expensive rod I will own for a long time. The kid is steadily getting more expensive and the wife wants another one :o

i use a 7' H/Fast for pitching soft plastics and jigs and as a carolina rig rod.

i don't do much true flipping but 75% or more of my fishing consists of pitching and i always did it with a 6'6" MH rod and now that i have my 7'er i don't see how i managed before.  you get so much more on the hookset not to mention farther pitches
