Stren Magnathin?

Hey guys, curious to know what you guys think about Stren Magnathin..

I'm looking for a thin diameter line, but not braid. I need it for a finesse setup and the 10lb line is a .009 or .010 dia so it appealed to me.

XL and Suffix Elite have a bigger diameter..

Any info on it would be appreciated.

Don't fish it around rocks.  It has about ZERO abrasion resistance.  Tried it one time on Lake Erie and after a couple of casts it looked like it got pulled through a cabbage grater.  I use Super Silver Thread 10lb for most of my light line work.  Slightly larger at .011, but it works well for me, and is far more abrasion resistant than the MagnaThin.

Not exactly the most abrssion resistance line around but it handles extremely well and has very little memory, for finesse it 's great as long as you keep it away from sharp rocks and woody cover.

The Stren Magnathin is unreliable.

Yo-Zuri Hybrid #6 is .010" diameter and rated 11.9 lb breaking strength, but may be stronger than that!

Hybrid is HIGHLY abrasion resistant and suitable for all fishing conditions.

Exactly, if you can get away with a good copoly in the lower tests with high breaking point go for it.

I've seen you post this in several other threads, so I ordered some Yo-Zuri Hybrid ultra Soft #6 last night. I'm very excited!

I have some Magnathin 6# on some light spinning outfits.  I like it a lot.  It's the best handling mono I've used - very little memory.   I've never used it for anything heavier.
