I use Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #6 (11.9 lb test) on spinning tackle, #12 (19.5) on baitcasters.

I fish all soft plastics, light lures and some live bait on spining tackle.

Most hard baits I fish on baitcasting gear.

Spinnerbait: 12 lb. Hybrid Line (Type of line is not very critical here, so I use the cheapest quality line)

Senko: 12 lb. Hybrid Line (I've gotten used to this line. I have tried Flouro and Braid with a Senko and for some reason I am most comfortable with this line)

Any T-Rigged Plastic: 30 lb. Braid with a Fluorocarbon Leader (I like having the sensitivity and strength of the braid and I use a leader for line visibility issues, which could lead to another debate)

Crankbait: 12 lb. Fluorocarbon (I like a line that sinks for crankbaits and jerkbaits. I think this gives you a little added depth)

Jig: 30 lb. Braid (I like the low stretch and strength for jigs)

Shaky Head Jig: 8 lb. Hybrid Line (Another situation where I got used to using Hybrid line. Flouro would work also).

I added a few more:

Topwater: 12 lb. Mono (I like to have line that floats for topwater and I like the stretch. I tried Flouro once and my lure was under the water halfway through the retrieve)

Frogs: 30 lb. Braid (I fish heavy slop with a frog, so I like the power of braid. Most people use 50 lb. or even 80 lb. braid for frogs, but I like to thinner diameter, because it seems to cut through lily pad stems easier)

The bottom line is what you are comfortable in using. Some guys use braid for everything, some guys use mono for everything, and RW uses Yo-Zuri hybrid for everything. It's what you like.

I mainly fish from shore so line diameter is very important but the lure action with the correct line factors in too plus the waters clairety.

Topwater; 12lb excaliber silver thread green color.

carolina rig; 14lb excaliber silver thread with a red cajun line 24" leader and a 1 /8oz brass weight.

Crankbaits; 10lb or 8lb test excaliber silver thread green color with a ball bearing swivel. The swivel gives the crankbait more wobble, its free movement plus more noise if it has a rattle in it.

large spinnerbaits 10lb or 12lb excaliber silver thread green color.

small spinnerbaits(1/8oz) 6lb test excaliber silver thread green color.

The places that i fish the green line disappears better than the clear line. The clear line seems to give a split screen appearance in the water.

There is less stretch using a copolymere line rather than a mono line.  The mono line is like a long spring and with long shore casts its even worse. I lost a lot of big bass using mono plus lures too.
