Yea Good Morning: Your last post was to tell us about Acadia Rods . You cited an "independent article" that was actually an article/advertisement by Acadia. , now you return with this info about Acadia Reels and according to your profile, you live by Acadia in Texas ;So my question is DO you work for them or in any way are you sponsored by them,?

Well, Bluebonnet souds like he is the owner or sales manager of this "Acadia" company. I never heard of it.

Daiwa for me !!!

It's as open as I allow it.  I expect you to be respectful of others. So cool your jets there.

We suspect you're associated in some form or another with them.  It's best you confess your affiliation and be open about it.  You don't want me to find out you're holding back. That would be bad.

glenn,

i'm in no way associated with them. i just thought some one might be interested in their products. The rods they sent to me are of better quality than other stuff on the market and for the buck, i think its a good deal. The reel might be the same...i don't know...i am not a professional fisherman or sponsored by anyone, just a weekend guy having fun when i get a chance to fish...most of the information i have about acadia comes from a buddy at work and he is a weekend fisherman and is the one that told me about this site a while back....i don't know who they sponsor or send free stuff to test. i just know most guys look for good deals, clearance pricing, discounts, etc. i just ordered and recieved skip-n-pop baits and the guy sent me an extra 4 white baits with the order, i did not order or solicit the "free" baits. i am grateful and will try these monday on caddo, if it don't rain.... ;) most people who start up a business struggle a lot the first couple of years and some never make it successfully pay off...i sure you folks had the same problems and it takes a lot of courage to do this... you probably won't get a medal for try to make this a great website....keep up the good work...

i remember a guy who quit college a few years back and started building computers in his garage, his name is michael dell...

P.S. you are welcome to PM me at any time...

Then I apologize, it's happened before and i have to own up to being too cynical at times so I APOLOG IZE ;)

In that price range, there are plenty of well supported, proven products from the larger companies.  It's great to support the small guy, especially in the bait biz, but I like the bigger companies when it comes to mechanical things like a reel.

and oh yea,...we've already gotten more accolades than most.  ;)  Check the top 100 sites, ....guess who is on top.

Thank you for the well-written and informative post, Bluebonnet.  Understand we do see a number of folks who try to hype up a company, only to discover they're connected to them in some fashion.  When they're upfront about it, it's one thing, but when they try to decieve everyone, that ruins the credibility of that company.

Thanks again for understanding.  And welcome aboard!
