St Croix Warranty

Featured Replies

During my last outing to Mexico last week, I made a rookie error and grabbed a rod in haste, not noticing the rod was leveraged under a boat cleat. Needless to say, I broke that rod right in the middle. When I returned, I sent the rod to St Croix along with a $20 check. Within 2 days I got a phone call from St Croix. I was scared to talk to them. I figured the guy was gonna say "what bonehead could break a rod like this", but instead he said, yeah we'll replace the rod, no questions asked. Then he states that they will give me $220 credit for the rod if I'll upgrade from a Legend to a Legend Elite for $110. I couldn't say no. I am very impressed with this company.

I broke a PC66MHF last Monday night.  Very anxious to see how quickly they can get it back to me.

And what you did ? upgraded ?

I 've got the LE in my sights, man what a beautiful rod it is.

Just got the rod. I cannot believe how fast St Croix is. Their customer service is by far the best I have ever run into. The Legend Elite that just showed up is a work of art. It is a 6'6" MH w/Fast tip Casting Rod.  I probably would have never bought one because I have been very satisfied with the Tournament Legends, but now??????

Time Frame: Mailed Broken Rod on July 19th. Got new Rod July 27th. I cannot ask for better.

Nice to hear the quick turn around. I have never heard anything bad and always wondered what the turn around was. Huge bonus they offered the upgrade.

How did you return the rod?  Did you ship it back yourself, or did you go through their website?

Building up a TBC710HM Magnum Cranker for a custom customer now. I have been building on St.Croix blanks exclusively for 5 years now. Each year they get better and better. The Avids® for 08 will be using the IPC® (Integrated Poly Curve® Technology), and, ART (Advanced Reinforcing Technology). This was only found in the 4C and above blanks. What this means is crisper tapers and better reinforcement for the 3C Avid rods.

Not to get to far of base the customer service and warranties have always been superior. Great rods , Great Company!!!!

Bountiful_Waters, enjoy that new rod!!!!

Tight lines!!!

I packed it up and sent it to St Croix with a check for $20 and my return address and phone number. Did not notify them of anything prior.

Thanks to St. Croix and Loomis, other rod companies are jumping on the customer service bandwagon.  Or at least they claim to.

When it comes to "standing behind a product?  NO one beats St. Croix. the LE series are amazing well bulit rods from handle to tip top.
